“I don’t know what we would do without April. She is our third full-time aide for my brother. The first two were good aides, reliable and competent, but April far exceeds the level of care we were used to having for my brother. April never misses a scheduled day, she arrives early and is willing to stay late if we need her and works without any direction. The Physical and Occupational therapists love having her on the team. April follows the care plan and has been an integral member of the team caring for my brother. I appreciate having her and would be lost without April”.

Interim of Oakland County has been providing home care services to customers in Oakland and surrounding counties for two years and we have over seen over two hundred (200) client/patients. We use the franchise’s hiring process refined through forty (40) years of experience, including criminal background checks, reference checks, interview, and orientation. Our employees are trained and supervised and we provide back-up services should there be an interruption in the schedule. We handle all aspects of employment, including all employer taxes, license checks and reporting. We carry liability insurance and are responsible as the employer. Our employees are insured and covered by worker’s compensation as required by law. Our employees are bonded.

We believe it is important to provide the right level of services, so we perform a comprehensive assessment by a highly qualified professional that helps you make informed decisions. We also believe communication is important so, with permission, we provide a written report of the client’s needs. This report addresses the following:

Home Safety;
Understanding of medical conditions and how to manage them;
Functional status – ability to handle the activities of daily living;
Medications – ability to take them correctly – time and dosage;
Nutritional habits and status;
Mental outlook

We develop a customized service plan to fit the client’s individual situation to support what he or she can do. It’s often a matter of little help and usually not about acute care or around the clock needs. It is about helping with the little things that make every day safe, enjoying independence and the quality of life.
Services might include:

Grooming
Preparing Meals
Light Housework
Bathing
Companionship
Shopping

Ongoing assessments and reports are available periodically or after significant events such as hospitalization, emergency room visits, falls or some other event or behavioral change.

Please contact for a free assessment or simply to answer questions or concerns you have regarding maintaining your independence.
